A template for abstracts is provided. These should be no more than two pages long. Abstracts can be submitted at any time before the closing date for abstracts which is Friday 9th March. However, if you want acceptance of your abstract prior to registering for the conference then submit your abstract by the end of February. Please indicate if you prefer a poster.

One female postgraduate will be selected to be a recipient of an award in memory of Professor Hazel Prichard. This will include all registration and accommodation costs and a contributions towards airfare. To be eligible for this award, abstracts must be submitted to Freddie Roelofse before 28th February and clearly marked “student abstract for Hazel Prichard award”. The winner will be notified prior to 20th March.
The Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA) is offering 4 travel grants (each of 500 Euro) to SGA students to participate at the 13th International Platinum Symposium. The grants are offered to SGA student members who will contribute to SGA sponsored sessions: –
- PGE-chromite-oxide deposits (Sarah-Jane Barnes),
- New methods and concepts in ore geology research/exploration (Steve Barnes),
- PGE-Au experimental techniques (Anna Vymazalová).
The award of the student grant requires the acceptance of an abstract for oral or poster presentation, and will be based on financial need and scientific quality of the submitted abstract. The application form should be sent to SGA V.P. for Student Affairs, Anna Vymazalová, firstname.lastname@example.org by March 9, 2018.
